Let’s be honest every girl has been insecure about her hair. Well I am here to tell you ME TOO ! We have them straight we want them wavy, we have them curly we want them straight. It is a never ending situation. I am bi-racial so my hair have a curl pattern of their own. I do have thin hair but a lot of them so they’re voluminous. When I was a teenager I was obsessed with wearing them straight and that’s because of the outside influence. At home, I didn’t care about my hair, I was in a loving home. Outside, I too wanted to fit in this not always-loving-world. Curly hair were n-o-t as popular as straight hair. Thankfully nowadays millennial and Z generations live in a world where all hairs are promoted. I find it reassuring that younger generations are more open to a variety of hair beauty standards (less Caucasian-only dominant) . Today as a 29 year old woman i see my hair as an accessory, as a style of the day.
The truth about my curls
I love my natural curl but…. there’s a but. I just wish I was able to control them! But no, they behave how they wanna. Some days my curls are popping and “perfect” the next they look dry, frizzy and a ton of products are requested because they’re unmanageable.
hair update
Because I willingly damage my hair in the past with bleaches, hair colors and over heating. I decided to get my first Brazilian treatment done.
The Brazilian treatment helps with damage hair, soften and protects the hair.
My summer hair routine
I wash my hair more during summer because i sweat a lot and i go to pools and lakes! I wash my hair with organic shampoo and conditioner from Alba Organic. The products are sulfate free and chemical free bonus they smell soooooo good! I do a hydrating hair mask once per week. My hair routine for winter is totally different. The only similarity is I do not use any gels or mousse! Only curl defying cream. What I like is for my hair to not only look healthy and shiny but to be!
